Dylan Shaw is a fictional character on The Bold and the Beautiful, portrayed by Dylan Neal.
Storylines[]
Dylan Shaw was introduced in 1994 as an intern working at Forrester Creations. Around the same time, Forrester founder, Eric Forrester's teenage niece, Jessica Forrester arrived in town as well and immediately fell head-over-heels in love for the handsome, but older intern. When Eric found out that Jessica and Dylan had sex one night, he had Dylan charged with statutory rape, since Dylan was 20 and Jessica was only 17. Although acquitted, Dylan's relationship with Jessica was unable to move forward with everything that had happened and the two drifted apart. Soon Dylan began dating another new woman in town, it was in fact Jessica's mom, Maggie. Dylan was unaware that Maggie and Jessica were related and Maggie had no idea that her daughter was in love with Dylan. When their respective connection to Jessica was exposed, Dylan and Maggie decided to end things and Dylan eventually found his way back to Jessica. In order to pay his way through design school, Dylan began a career as a male-stripper and hid this from Jessica and her family. When his secret life was discovered, Jessica forgave him and the two continued their happy relationship.
On Mar 2, 1995 Dylan Shaw spots Sly Donovan at the Insomnia Café. Sly expresses to Dylan how bitter he is that Macy Alexander stopped going to the Bikini. Dylan is shocked to find out that Sly's real name is Irving, the same as that of the hate letter writer. Questioned why he and Macy changed the wedding date, Thorne Forrester admits to Sally Spectra and Darla Einstein that Macy has been receiving more hate mail. As Anthony Armando walks in, Thorne asks the designer to be his best man.
After an intimate dinner out together one night, Jessica Forrester was raped by a former lover named Sly, who Jessica had dated during her separation from Dylan. Jessica spiraled into depression and was unable to confide in Dylan about her rape. Jessica instead told Maggie Forrester what happened and she immediately left for London to attend school. Dylan eventually fell off campus in 1996, and hasn't been mentioned since.
